Is it possible to create toys made entirely of wood that appeal to children in the same way as plastic toys do?

I want to explore whether wooden toys can be just as appealing to children as those made from plastic or metal. My aim is to investigate how wood, as a natural and durable material, can be used to create toys that not only engage children but also support learning and development. I'm particularly interested in how design can combine play with pedagogy – creating toys that grow with the child and remain meaningful across different stages of childhood
